Tim Haymaker is a native of West Virginia and a graduate of Marshall University where he is a member of the Marshall University Pathway of Prominence, the McDowell Business School Hall of Fame, the John Marshall Society, the Marshall Real Estate Foundation and the Marshall University Foundation. Tim was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in 2005 from Marshall University. Tim also served on the University of Kentucky Business Partnership Board and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Kentucky Real Estate Foundation. Tim previously served as a Director of the Kentucky Horse Park Commission as well as its Foundation and the Society of Yeager Scholars.
Current and past boards: Presidential Fellow at the University of Kentucky, Commerce Lexington, YMCA, United Way of the Bluegrass, Founder-Children's Charity Fund, Lexington Industrial Foundation, Child Development Centers of the Bluegrass, Urban League, Fayette County Schools Facility Advisory Board and many others.
Professionally, Tim began his career in sales with Proctor and Gamble before turning to real estate in 1972. He spent his first years in the residential business before becoming the general manager of Corporate Real Estate for Ashland Oil, Inc. He then moved to First Security National Bank as Vice President of Real Estate before starting Haymaker Commercial Real Estate in 1989. While Tim is active in the commercial brokerage company he spends most of his time as owner of Haymaker Development Company. His projects include Beaumont Centre, a mixed use development, Pinnacle, Tuscany, Summerfield and Coventry residential communities, Century Business Centre and Citation Business Park. Together those projects encompass nearly 2,200 acres in Fayette County, Kentucky. Tim has over 50 years of real estate experience. Haymaker serves as manager/owner of the following properties in Lexington, KY: Stantec Building at 3052 Beaumont Centre Circle, Covetrus Animal Health Building at 920 Citation Boulevard, Power Pro Building at 900 Nandino Boulevard, Active Day Building at 191 W. Lowry Lane, and Aerotek at 3120 Wall Street.
The Haymaker Company consists of Haymaker Commercial Real Estate, Haymaker Property Management Company and Haymaker Development Company.
